PARTICIPANT EXPERIENCE & ENGAGEMENT

Help turn a convoy into a community.

The vehicles might cross the Simpson Desert — but the people are what Make Tracks For Jack is really about.

We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing people together and can help us look after the growing community of prospective participants.

You might help us:

  • welcome new participants;

  • communicate with people who have expressed interest;

  • answer routine questions;

  • help grow the convoy;

  • connect with 4WD clubs and community groups;

  • organise participant information sessions;

  • share participant stories;

  • assist with registrations and event information;

  • help develop the participant experience;

  • build the sense that everyone involved belongs to something bigger.

You'll have the freedom to:

GREEN — Go for it

Routine communications, participant follow-up, approved information, club outreach and coordination of information sessions.

AMBER — Let's talk

Participant complaints, unusual circumstances, exceptions or requests affecting event arrangements.

RED — Committee decision

Participant exclusion, refunds, safety exemptions and material changes to participation conditions.

Typical commitment: Around 2–3 hours per week initially, increasing somewhat closer to the event.
